Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and have experience in various aspects of dental hygiene. This role involves working closely with patients to provide comprehensive dental care, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, utilizing appropriate techniques and tools.
- Assess patient oral health by reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and conducting patient assessments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Assist in the documentation of patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with dentists in providing chairside assistance during procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and patient management.
- Conduct medical imaging as required for diagnostic purposes while adhering to infection control protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in pediatric dentistry.
Qualifications
- Valid dental hygiene license in Ontario
- Experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
