We’re looking for more than a dental hygienist. We’re looking for someone who can be the first point of trust for our patients — the person who welcomes them in, puts them at ease, and helps them understand their oral health in a way that truly makes sense.
In our practice, the hygienist is not just a clinician. You are a patient advocate, educator, and translator — the bridge between patient and dentist. You’ll have the interpersonal skills to build rapport quickly, the confidence to speak up for your patients when needed, and the patience to explain complex topics in everyday language.
We believe this role has the power to shift how patients think about dentistry — from something they avoid, to something they value. If that excites you, you might be exactly who we’re looking for.
Who We’re Looking For
- 3-5 years of dental hygiene experience in Canada or abroad
- If internationally trained as a dentist but licensed as a hygienist in Canada — at least 1 year of hygiene experience in Canada
- Experience in a dental office as a receptionist or dental assistant before becoming a hygienist is an asset
- The candidate should be proficient in taking radiographs, performing periodontal charting, and identifying caries
- Strong communication skills and ability to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds
- A mindset that values both patient advocacy and teamwork with dentists
- Comfortable educating patients and guiding them toward healthier choices
What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality hygiene care with a focus on comfort and patient education
- Build trusting relationships with patients to encourage long-term oral health
- Advocate for patients’ needs with dentists, ensuring their concerns are understood and addressed
- “Translate” patient concerns into clear clinical insights for the dental team
- Help shift patient mindsets toward preventive care and ongoing dental health
