Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide oral health instructions
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as abledent
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
Requirements:
- Valid dental hygiene license in [state]
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Knowledge of dental software systems such as Abledent
- Proficiency in medical coding for dental procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Note: Experience with specific software systems such as abledent preferred but not required. Training can be provided for candidates who are familiar with other dental software systems.
