Ray Lawson Dentistry Smilez Dentistry On Queen is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our team in Greater Toronto Area, ON.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive and diagnostic work, including sealants, fluoride and restorative materials, cleaning and polishing, examination and treatment of teeth, impressions, lab specimens, etc.
- Perform post-operative dental hygiene procedures including: cleaning and polishing of the oral cavity, brushing and nutritional therapy.
- Provide patient care including: assisting with preventative medicine, oral hygiene supplies, nutritional therapy, restorative therapy.
- Assisting the dentist during the operating room by preparing materials for the treatment room; preparing instruments and operating the treatment room.
- Cleaning and sterilizing equipment.
- Working with patients to provide preventative care.
- Assisting with dental records, forms, invoices, etc. as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar position preferred but not required.
- In-depth knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods (e.g., X-Ray) preferred but not required.
- Understanding of health & safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication & people skills
- Attention to detail
- Dental hygienist license or certification from a accredited school is preferred but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
