Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our talented team in a part-time position. Must have the flexibility to work early morning shifts as well as the occasional evening but no weekends! The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills to aid in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office while providing exceptional care to our patients.

Responsibilities

Provide routine hygiene procedures such as scale, coronal polish and fluoride application.
Be comfortable in taking perio records including probing.
Take x-rays as needed during recall exams.
Treatment plan during recall exams with the doctor for the treatment coordinator to then discuss with the patient at the end of their visit.
Pre-booking patient for their continuing care interval at the end of their appointment.
Post completed treatment at the end of patient's visits
Ensure the treatment area is clean, sterile, and well-organized before and after procedures.
Ensure the sterile bay is caught up on processing instruments at all stages of the reprocessing cycle.
Maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure a positive patient experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist, with a strong understanding of dental office operations. Must be a current licensed hygienist
Familiarity with Dentrix software is required, experience with Sidexis is considered an asset
Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the healthcare setting
Experience with TMJ and Sleep Apnea considered an asset but not required
