Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
- Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by taking and developing dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Document patient care services by charting in the electronic health record system, such as Dentrix.
- Provide support to the dentist during procedures, including orthodontics and other treatments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Build rapport with patients through exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in dental hygiene practices.
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Experience in a dental office setting is preferred; familiarity with dental assisting is a plus.
- Knowledge of orthodontics is beneficial but not required.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance patient communication.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with patients and team members.
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
