About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Dental Office Manager to lead the operational growth of a busy and established dental practice.
This role goes beyond managing the day-to-day schedule. We are looking for a systems-oriented leader who can identify inefficiencies, solve problems before they occur, strengthen accountability, and help the practice continue to grow.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable making decisions. They enjoy creating systems, improving processes, developing team members, and using data to drive better outcomes.
What You'll Be Responsible ForOperational Excellence
- Develop and maintain systems that improve efficiency, consistency, and accountability
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical solutions
- Ensure processes are followed and continuously improved
- Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular reporting to ownership
- Maintain accurate records and oversee administrative workflows
Financial Oversight
- Monitor collections, accounts receivable, prepayments, insurance claims, and financial reporting
- Identify and prevent billing, accounting, and administrative errors
- Implement systems that improve financial accuracy and accountability
- Work closely with ownership and external accounting professionals to maintain clean and reliable reporting
- Communicate profit/loss and determine financial factors
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and support administrative and clinical support team members
- Create a positive, professional, and accountable workplace culture
- Conduct regular performance reviews and team meetings
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff development
- Address challenges directly while maintaining strong team relationships
Growth & Business Development
- Assist in developing initiatives that support patient growth and retention
- Help identify opportunities to expand services and increase practice utilization
- Support the implementation of internal incentive programs and performance-based goals
- Participate in strategic planning and practice development initiatives
- Contribute ideas that improve patient experience and drive sustainable growth
Patient Experience
- Ensure patients receive exceptional service at every stage of their journey
- Support treatment acceptance and patient communication strategies
- Resolve concerns professionally and efficiently
- Maintain a culture focused on outstanding patient care

Qualifications Required
- Minimum 5 years of dental office management experience
- Strong understanding of dental practice operations
- Proven leadership experience
- Strong understanding of collections, insurance processes, scheduling, and practice administration
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to improve systems and workflows
- Experience with optimizing dental hygiene appointments
Preferred
- Experience managing multi-provider practices
- Human resources experience
- Experience creating incentive programs and team performance initiatives
- Experience creating and analyzing KPIs and practice metrics with direct reporting
- Background in budgeting and financial management
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
