Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of dental office management, ensuring that our clinic runs smoothly and efficiently. This role involves managing staff, maintaining patient records, overseeing fiscal responsibilities, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. MUST HAVE 5+ YEARS OF DENTAL OFFICE MANAGER EXPERIENCE
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the dental office, ensuring efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.
- Supervise and train office staff, fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, billing, and collections to ensure the practice remains profitable.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and manage patient information using EHR systems.
- Implement office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Coordinate with dental providers to ensure high-quality patient care and effective utilization of resources.
- Handle human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including JCAHO standards and managed care requirements.
- Utilize practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, billing, and patient management.
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office management or dental clinic experience is essential.
- Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting and financial oversight.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks is required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and records management practices.
- Excellent supervisory skills with a focus on team development and performance management.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
- Ability to navigate complex healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance.
- Experience in acute care or critical care settings is a plus but not mandatory.
