We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and education while ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and hygiene, working closely with both patients and the dental team to deliver high-quality services.
Duties
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the dental software system.
- Assist the dentist during procedures as necessary, ensuring a smooth workflow in the office.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and orthodontics.
Skills
- Bilingual skills are highly preferred to enhance communication with diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in OPENDENTAL software for efficient patient management.
- Experience or knowledge in pediatrics and orthodontics is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Previous experience in a Canadian dental office is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure positive patient experiences and satisfaction.
