Responsibilities
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options to enhance their understanding and engagement.
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow and patient comfort.
- Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols.
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, supporting effective medical coding and billing processes.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.
- Proven experience in general dentistry with a strong background in dental assisting and patient care.
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and record management.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable, along with experience working with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient rapport.

Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
