Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs.
- Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed including x-rays.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker software.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patients, addressing their concerns and questions effectively.
Skills
- Proficient in Tracker software for managing patient records and appointments is a bonus, we will provide software training.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for patients.
- Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations.
- Experience in pediatrics is beneficial for working with younger patients.
- Background in dental assisting is advantageous for supporting the dental team effectively.
- Knowledge of orthodontics is helpful for assisting with related procedures within the practice.
- Familiarity with general dental office operations and procedures is essential for smooth workflow management.
