Toothworks Calgary is a busy, positive, and team-focused dental practice located in Royal Oak (NW Calgary), and we’re excited to welcome an energetic and reliable Sterilization Assistant to our team.
Our current sterilization technician is moving on to dental hygiene so we’re looking for the right person who is seeking a long-term position and wants to grow with us.
Important:
Experience in dental sterilization is required.
Applicants without sterilization experience will not be considered.
Position Overview
As our Sterilization Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of our clinic. You’ll ensure our instruments, operatories, and clinical spaces are properly disinfected, sterilized, and ready for patient care. Key Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and reprocess all dental instruments
- Maintain and operate sterilization equipment following manufacturer and IPC guidelines
- Complete and track all sterilization logs accurately and consistently
- Ensure all instruments, cassettes, and handpieces meet sterilization standards
- Assemble procedure trays/kits with correct instruments
- Disinfect and reset operatories between patients
- Assist with basic room setups for both dentists (DDS) and hygienists (RDH)
Schedule
This position offers a consistent and predictable schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 10:00am – 6:00pm
- Thursday: 8:00am – 3:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 2:30pm
- Two Saturdays per month (excluding long weekends): 8:00am – 2:30pm
