Location: Stoney Trail Dental, and other locations as needed.
Schedule: [Days/evenings/weekends as needed].
Compensation: 25-27% collections [bonus/benefits/parking/CE].

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated, patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a clinician who values high-quality care, clear communication, and strong patient education. You will work closely with the dentist and administrative team to deliver exceptional hygiene services and support patients in understanding their oral health and treatment needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical care:
- Perform comprehensive hygiene care including periodontal assessments, scaling/root planing, polishing, fluoride, and sealants where applicable.
- Take and interpret radiographs as needed and ensure appropriate documentation.
- Deliver consistent patient education on oral hygiene techniques, prevention, and home-care recommendations.
- Identify periodontal disease/caries risk and communicate findings clearly to patients and the clinical team.
- Support whitening/adjunct services as offered in-clinic (if applicable).
Patient experience & communication:
- Build trust and rapport with patients, including anxious or high-needs patients. Receive 5 star Google reviews.
- Explain clinical findings, recommended intervals (recall), and next steps in a clear, non-judgmental manner.
- Help patients understand why recommended treatment is needed and the value of ongoing preventive care.
- Collaborate with the admin team for rebooking, follow-ups, and continuity of care.
Team & workflow:
- Maintain operatory readiness, infection prevention protocols, and instrument flow.
- Work efficiently to support on-time schedules while maintaining quality.
- Contribute to a positive team culture—professional, respectful, and solutions-oriented.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing in Alberta (CDHBC registration or eligible).
- Current CPR (BLS) certification.
- Strong clinical documentation skills and understanding of periodontal charting standards.
- Professional communication and patient education strengths.
Preferred:
- Experience in a busy practice environment.
- Comfortable with technology and dental software (any platform is fine; we train).
- Local anesthesia certification (if applicable/desired for your clinic).
- Whitening experience (in-office laser or take-home protocols) is an asset.
