Job Overview: We are seeking skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienists to join our client teams. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures.
Position/Job requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a dental office
- Must be registered with College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO)
- Will train RDH for Ortho if interested
Duties: - Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and debridement - Take dental x-rays and proper Photos - Conduct oral cancer screenings - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for home care - Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed - Assist the dentist during procedures, such as fillings, extractions, and root canals - Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans - Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment - Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
Experience: - Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred - Knowledge of pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and medical terminology is a plus - Proficiency in OPEN DENTAL - Competitive salary based on experience
