Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and have experience in a dental or medical office environment. This role is crucial in ensuring that our office runs smoothly, providing exceptional service to our patients while managing staff and office procedures efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations, including patient scheduling, check-in/check-out processes, and handling phone inquiries.
- Oversee the maintenance of electronic medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and effective communication among team members.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
- Implement office policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and improve patient satisfaction.
- Train and supervise administrative staff, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and office management.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic for scheduling, billing, and record keeping.
- Ensure that the office adheres to health and safety regulations as well as infection control protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience in an administrative role within a dental or medical office setting is essential.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and electronic dental records management is essential.
- Proficient in using phone systems and various office equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
