Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures.
Duties:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and debridement
- Take dental x-rays and proper Photos
- Conduct oral cancer screenings
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for home care
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Assist the dentist during procedures, such as fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and medical terminology is a plus
- Proficiency in OPEN DENTAL
- Bilingual skills (English+) are beneficial but not required
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
