Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Associate Dentist to join our vibrant dental practice. In this role, you will deliver exceptional dental care, perform a variety of procedures, and build lasting relationships with patients. Your expertise will help ensure our patients receive the highest standard of oral health services in a friendly and professional setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive general dentistry services, including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and root canal therapy.
- Perform advanced procedures such as dental fabrication, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery with precision and care.
- Conduct patient assessments using medical and dental terminology to develop effective treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards.
- Utilize dental imaging techniques and anatomical knowledge to diagnose conditions accurately.
- Apply infection control protocols to ensure patient safety during all procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Skills
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as ClearDent or Dentrix.
- Deliver evidence-based treatment and maintain ethical, patient-first care.
- Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other surgical procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively using dental and medical terminology while ensuring patient understanding.
- Familiarity with infection control practices, medical imaging, and aseptic techniques.
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral surgery and general dentistry procedures.
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic or office environment is highly preferred.
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree (required)
- Licensed to practice in Alberta (required)
- Experience in family dentistry is an asset but not mandatory
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, high-performing environment
