Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting oral health. This role requires a compassionate individual who can effectively communicate with patients and work collaboratively within a dental office environment.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
- Conduct patient assessments and record medical histories.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software.
- Collaborate with dentists on treatment plans for patients.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance patient experiences.
Skills
- Familiarity with Curve dental or similar dental practice management software.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.
- Strong clinical skills for a gentle, thorough and patient-centred in clinical care
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Focus on patient education and preventive dentistry.
- Is efficient and comfortable taking taking i Tero scans.
