Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our practice. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, and will be an active team member . This role offers an opportunity to work with a diverse patient population (including children) and to work with high quality technology and equipment. The job is permanent, for 24 - 32 per week.
Our new hygienist will be able to do the following:
- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene treatment that is tailored to each individual patient.
- Take dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide post-treatment care instructions.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and simple procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records using our dental management software.
- Manage patient appointments efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
- Support pediatric patients by creating a fun and friendly environment.
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, as well as staff members.
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in Alberta is mandatory.
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred.
- Proficiency with Power Practice and Cadi is an asset.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an engaging and supportive work environment.
Pay: $55.00-$60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 32.0 per week
