Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage appointment scheduling, and handle administrative tasks efficiently. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly, patient-focused environment where attention to detail and excellent communication skills are valued. Prior experience with dental or medical office operations, including electronic medical records, is highly preferred but training will be provided if you are the right candidate. The Dental Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional patient service.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records using Cleardent software
- Assist patients with insurance questions and billing procedures
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely patient flow and appointment adherence
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk area and ensure compliance with office policies
- Handle administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and managing correspondence
- Support the team with other clerical duties as needed to ensure efficient office operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental/medical office setting would be considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience working with insurance providers and billing procedures is a plus
