Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to join our vibrant Plastic surgery office. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive clinic experience
- Educate clients on skincare products
- Offer white glove service
- Minimum 4 years experience with Front desk in Medical /Aesthetics clinic.
- Must have experience in clinic environment.
- Open and close clinic
- Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and conduct insurance verification for patient appointments
- Handle medical billing and collections efficiently, including processing payments and following up on outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality and data security
- Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and managing inquiries
- Assist with administrative support tasks such as filing, data entry, document review, and managing medical records using systems
- Support clinic operations by coordinating intake procedures, updating care plans, and reviewing documentation for accuracy
- Utilize computer skills to manage office tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy in medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), documentation review, and health information management
- Ensure smooth front desk operations by managing office supplies, scheduling staff meetings, and supporting office management activities
Experience
- Diploma/certificate from an accredited institution
- Strong familiarity with EMR system
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), ICD-10 updates, Medicare procedures, and HIPAA compliance is required
- Experience in medical billing
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service within a healthcare setting is necessary
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (including 10-key), and general computer skills are essential for success in this role
