Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, promote oral health, and support the overall operations of the dental team. Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist with patient examinations and record keeping using dental software such as Dentrix
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Manage patient appointments, follow-up care, and treatment plans
- Support pediatric patients and adapt communication to ensure comfort and understanding
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized clinical environment
- Provide customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns professionally
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the province of practice
- Experience with ABELDENT or similar dental management software preferred
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures beneficial
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with a caring approach toward patients
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Experience in dental assisting is advantageous but not required
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 9 – 36 per week
