Responsibilities

- Take medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and the importance of regular dental visits
- Review and update medical records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure seamless patient care delivery in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice
- Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably with general dentistry practices
- Proficiency with dental terminology, medical terminology, and documentation review processes
- Familiarity with Dental software like Open Dental for efficient record keeping
- Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and OSHA regulations including HIPAA compliance
- Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to oral health and medical imaging procedures
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly
