Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, promote oral health, and support the overall operations of the clinic. Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Assist with patient assessments and recordkeeping using Tracker or similar dental management software
- Support the dental team during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized treatment area
- Manage patient appointments and follow-up care instructions
- Communicate effectively with patients, including bilingual communication if applicable
- Assist with pediatric patients and adapt procedures accordingly
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental procedures, medical terminology, and industry best practices
Experience
- Previous experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a dental office setting is preferred
- Familiarity with Tracker or other dental practice management software is highly desirable
- Experience with pediatrics, or general dentistry is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including bilingual capabilities are advantageous
- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and medical terminology will enhance performance in this role
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail is valued
