Overview
We are a well-established periodontal specialty practice seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our collaborative team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional periodontal care, prioritizing patient comfort, education, and long-term oral health. This role requires a strong clinical foundation, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with the periodontist to support customized treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and oral hygiene therapy.
- Review medical histories and conduct thorough oral health assessments.
- Educate patients on periodontal disease, oral hygiene techniques, and prevention strategies.
- Accurately chart and manage patient records.
- Collaborate with the periodontist to support comprehensive treatment plans.
- Uphold strict infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Provide a welcoming and supportive experience for every patient.
- Maintain a clean, organized operatory and assist with clinical flow as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Alberta Dental Hygienist license.
- Previous experience in a periodontal office is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
