We are seeking a friendly and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations. This role requires proficiency in handling electronic medical records and familiarity with dental office procedures. The Dental Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth workflow within the practice.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience working in a dental office in Canada
- Proficient in the assignment of benefits process
- Skilled in submitting insurance claims and collecting patient payments
- Experienced in managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely follow-ups
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and respond to patient inquiries.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using software such as open Dental.
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing inquiries.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow throughout the day.
- Educate patients on office policies, procedures, and treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring all materials are stocked and accessible.
- Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare providers.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems; experience with Dentrix or Epic is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with office procedures and front desk operations in a dental setting is advantageous.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with team members and contribute positively to the work environment.

Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour
