Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled full time Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team . The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, excellent communication skills, punctual, reliable, strong integrity, professionalism, highly organized and detail-oriented in clinical work.. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with both patients and the dental team to ensure optimal oral health outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical history reviews to determine oral health needs.
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth, applying fluoride treatments, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices.
- Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to support the dentist during treatments.
- Take and document vital signs as necessary, ensuring accurate medical records are maintained.
- Utilize medical imaging technology for diagnostic purposes and review documentation for accuracy.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
- Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures while demonstrating knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology.
- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care experiences and improve overall clinic efficiency.
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, documentation review, and medical coding.
- Minimum of 2 years of RDH experience
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Commitment to ongoing education in infection control practices and advancements in dental hygiene techniques.
SCHEDULE:
- This position is for 4 days per week. Specific days can be discussed based on availability and office needs.
