Description: Periodontal speciality clinic in west Calgary is seeking an experienced dental hygienist to join our team for a part-time schedule, Tuesdays to Fridays.
Requirements:
- Registered Dental Hygienist with current licensure with the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta.
- Friendly, personable, self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, and a team player.
- Organized with a strong work ethic.
- Willing to learn and adapt as needed.
- Duties include but not limited to:
- Proficiency in oral lesion screening.
- Proficiency in taking intra-oral radiographs and photographs.
- Proficiency in periodontal probing and charting.
- Proficiency in use of local anesthetic (topical and injectable).
- Proficiency in hand and Cavitron® instrumentation.
- Proficiency in patient communication, especially in reviewing need for proposed treatment, patient education, and review and demonstration of home care oral hygiene techniques.
- Minimum 5 years of experience is strongly recommended, as this position requires management of complex periodontal cases.
- Familiarity with Mac computers is an asset.
- No evening or weekend work required.
