Job Summary
Seeking a gentle, caring hygienist who has excellent communication skills and is a team player. We provide a supportive work environment and are committed to excellence in patient care. This is also a great opportunity if you are also interested in helping out with Invisalign and Myobrace/myofunctional therapy. General duties include:
- scaling and root planing for all periodontal conditions and ages (from kids to seniors)
- polishing, applying fluoride, placement of sealants
- administering anesthetic and performing laser therapy if certified
- taking digital radiographs (bitewings, periodicals, panoramic radiograph)
- using itero digital scanner and taking intra-oral photos.
- setting up and cleaning up your operators
- assisting with processing and sterilization of instruments
- pre-booking your own hygiene patients for their next hygiene/recare appointment
- sharpening hygiene instruments on a regular basis
- willingness to help other team members/dentist as needed and ability to learn new skills/technologies
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Must be a registered dental hygienist licensed to practice in Alberta. Ability to administer local anesthetic would be a useful skill.
