The Opportunity
We are looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team 1 to 2 days per week (approximately 7-14 hours). Additional shifts may become available as the practice continues to grow.
If you are awaiting your Alberta hygiene license, we are open to offering temporary work as a Dental Assistant or Sterilization Technician. This provides an opportunity to support the clinic during an assistant’s medical leave and become familiar with our systems, team, and patients before transitioning into a hygiene role.
Office Hours
- Monday: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Tuesday: Closed
- Wednesday: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Thursday: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Friday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (early appointments by request)
- Saturday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (1–2 Saturdays per month)
- Sunday: Closed
Role Overview
You will work closely with our dentists to provide thorough, patient-focused hygiene care. We are a Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) clinic and are happy to train the right candidate if you are new to GBT.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide hygiene services including scaling, polishing, and biofilm management
- Perform periodontal assessments and full-mouth charting
- Take digital x-rays and intraoral scans
- Educate patients on preventive oral health
- Complete clinical notes in Open Dental
- Support sterilization and infection control protocols
- Contribute to a positive patient experience
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team
If awaiting licensure, temporary duties may include:
- Chairside assisting within scope
- Sterilization and operatory turnover
- Patient comfort and support
- Basic administrative assistance
Responsibilities will be adjusted based on licensure status and comfort level.
Skills and Qualifications
- Registered Dental Hygienist with an active Alberta license
- Applicants awaiting Alberta licensure are welcome
- Strong communication and clinical skills
- GBT experience is an asset (training provided)
- Comfortable with digital imaging
- Open Dental experience is an asset
- Reliable, professional, and patient-focused
