Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Dental Assistant and Receptionist with a strong work ethic to join our dental practice for Tuesdays 9am -6pm, Wednesdays 9 am-6pm and Thursdays 10am-7pm. We are located in Belmont Village. The ideal candidate will be proficient in dental assisting procedures, including chairside assisting, X-ray, and infection control, while also managing front desk responsibilities such as patient check-in/out, scheduling, and medical documentation. This dual-role position requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with Tracker dental software and a strong understanding of dental and medical terminology. The successful candidate will contribute to providing exceptional patient care in a welcoming environment, supporting both clinical and administrative functions of the practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage front desk duties including patient scheduling, insurance verification, billing, and answering inquiries
- Handle dental coding for billing purposes and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist dentists during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic technique
- Take and record vital signs and medical history for patients, including pediatric patients
- Operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines following HIPAA guidelines
- Maintain accurate electronic medical and dental records using Tracker dental software
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment
- Provide chairside assistance with procedures in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics
- Educate patients on dental procedures, post-care instructions, and treatment plans using appropriate dental terminology
Requirements
- Certified Dental Assistant with valid certification and experience in dental assisting roles as well as reception duties
- Proven experience with Tracker preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry procedures
- Ability to perform X-ray imaging safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and dental documentation practices
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction as both a receptionist and clinical assistant
- Experience working in a dental clinic environment with proficiency in dental records management and dental coding is highly desirable

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
