Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations of the front desk. This role requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments using Tracker dental software
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages accurately
- Verify patient insurance information and update records accordingly
- Collect payments and process billing using dental office management software
- Prepare patient charts and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete
- Coordinate with dental staff to facilitate patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry related to medical terminology and office procedures
- Crossover help with sterilization.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist in a dental office
- Dental assisting background
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Tracker, or similar systems
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and electronic medical records management
- Excellent communication skills, including experience handling multi-line phone systems and front desk interactions
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with office procedures, administrative tasks, and customer service best practices
- Previous experience working with insurance verification, billing, or coding is a plus
- Professional appearance, friendly demeanor, and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role
- Knowledge of sterilization procedures and IPAC regulations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
