Job Title: Dental Administrator / Dental Office Administrator
Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Administrator/ Treatment coordinator to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front-desk operations, coordinating treatment/ patient appointments, handling billing and insurance processes, and providing excellent customer service to ensure a smooth and positive patient experience. Must have good knowledge of CDCP program. Abeldent experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Patient Coordination
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
- Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries in a professional manner
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality
Billing & Insurance
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
- Submit insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims
- Process payments, invoices, and refunds
- Explain treatment plans, estimates, and payment options to patients
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate patient files and electronic dental records
- Manage correspondence, referrals, and documentation
- Order office supplies and coordinate with vendors
- Assist with compliance to dental regulations and office policies
Practice Support
- Communicate effectively with dentists, hygienists, and clinical staff
- Support daily workflow and help resolve scheduling or billing issues
- Maintain a clean, professional reception area
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional certification is an asset)
- Previous experience in dental administration or medical office administration preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance billing
- Proficiency with dental practice management software
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Professional, friendly demeanor with a patient-focused approach
Working Conditions
