Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing dental cleanings, and supporting overall patient education. The position requires a licensed Dental Hygienist with strong communication skills and a passion for promoting oral health.
Duties
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental management software
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to patient care
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Address patient questions regarding treatment plans and oral health maintenance
- Collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth workflow and excellent patient experience
Experience
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice
- Prior experience with Dentrix or other dental practice management software preferred
- Experience working with pediatric patients (Pediatrics) is a plus
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse patient population
- Background in Dental assisting or general dental office experience is advantageous
- Knowledge of Orthodontics procedures is beneficial but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively using medical terminology and explain treatment options clearly
- Experience working in a fast-paced dental environment, demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
