OPPORTUNITY
Seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team immediately. This is a part-time permanent position. The days we are offering are Tuesday - Thursday and every third Saturday. We are a well-established practice located in the Scarborough Town Centre.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Appropriately assesses, plans, implements and evaluates services for patient care
- Performs all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planning, polishing, and topical fluoride
- Excellent time management skills and able to work in a face-paced environment
- Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling
- Providing consistent patient experience during hygiene visits
- Establish strong patient relationships with maintaining ethical professional behaviour
- Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patient's expectations
- Demonstrate active listening and empathy to patients using effective communication skills
- Clean and prepare hygiene rooms in accordance with infection control
- Clean and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control
REQUIREMENTS
- Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Hygiene Degree program
- Registered and/or licensed by the C.D.H.O
- Valid CPR Certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be confident when explaining periodontal procedures and when educating patients about periodontal disease and its systemic effects on the body
- Experience with Paradigm software considered an asset
