Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant Level II to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of dental assisting procedures and a strong commitment to patient care. As a Certified Dental Assistant Level II, you will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and safety. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional dental services in a welcoming environment.
Duties
- Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, etc.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available while maintaining strict aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Manage electronic medical records (LiveDDM) to ensure accurate documentation of patient information, medical history, and treatment notes.
- Perform vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and explain procedures using appropriate dental terminology.
- Handle administrative duties as a dental receptionist when needed, including appointment scheduling and patient communication.
- Maintain infection control standards by adhering to protocols for sterilization and handling of contaminated materials.
- Support general dentistry procedures with proficiency in anatomy knowledge, dental assisting techniques, and medical coding for billing purposes.
- Collaborate effectively within the dental team to deliver high-quality care while fostering a positive patient experience.
Experience
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures aligned with industry best practices.
- Competence in taking X-rays and performing vital signs assessments accurately.
- Ability to communicate effectively using dental terminology while explaining procedures clearly to patients of all ages.
