Job Summary
Aesthetic DentaCare, located in the Ice District, is looking for an experienced RDH to cover maternity leave starting in March 16, 2026. Monday to Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., no evenings or weekends. This position has the possibility to turn into a permanent part time (possibly full time) at the end of the maternity leave. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental health status.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote long-term oral health.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency.
- Review and update medical records accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor and document vital signs, medical history, and other pertinent information during patient visits.
Qualifications
- Valid Alberta license certification as a Dental Hygienist.
- Proven experience in general dentistry environments preferred.
- Proficiency with Dentrix dental office management software.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with medical coding, documentation review, and medical records management.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55.00-$65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
