Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office while providing exceptional support to both staff and clients. This position requires proficiency in a range of administrative tasks, including managing electronic medical records, handling multi-line phone systems, and maintaining a professional and welcoming front desk environment. Previous experience in a dental or medical office is required, along with demonstrated experience in accounts receivable (AR) management.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily administrative operations, ensuring efficient office workflow.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, delivering outstanding customer service.
- Manage incoming calls through multi-line phone systems, directing inquiries appropriately.
- Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) accurately and confidentially.
- Assist with appointment scheduling and patient record management using Dentrix and Epic systems.
- Communicate effectively using medical terminology with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Support billing processes, insurance verification, and accounts receivable management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with office policies and procedures.
- Perform general office duties such as filing, faxing, and data entry.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or office administrator is required.
- Proven experience handling accounts receivable (AR) in a medical or dental office setting.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology to support effective communication in a healthcare environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems and standard office equipment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
