Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) – Full-Time
Location: Cochrane, Alberta
Schedule:
- Tuesday: 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM
- Wednesday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Fridays: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM starting 1-2x/month, growing to a consistent 4-day week
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our well-established, patient-centered dental practice. We are a small, close-knit hardworking group that cares about making our clinic a place to be proud of. This opportunity comes as we look to fill the position of one of our team members that has relocated out of province. You’ll be stepping into a fully booked schedule with a loyal patient base that values continuity of care and preventative oral health.
Our conservative, team-oriented practice prioritizes patient relationships and long-term oral health. We schedule 70-minute hygiene appointments and strive for patients to see the same hygienist each visit, ensuring consistency and trust. We are looking for someone who is professional, compassionate, and committed to excellence in patient care and who really wants to make a difference in their patients' oral health care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform dental cleanings and comprehensive hygiene treatments
- Take and review dental x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
- Administer local anesthesia as permitted
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
- Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment
- Foster positive relationships through excellent patient communication and care
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Dental Hygienist license in Alberta
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a practicing RDH
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passionate about preventive care and long-term patient relationships
