Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Dental Office Manager/Treatment Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess GREATPEOPLE SKILLS, strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of dental office management, including budgeting, human resources, and electronic medical records. This role is essential in ensuring that our office runs smoothly while providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Manage scheduling for dental appointments and coordinate with dental professionals to optimize patient flow.
- Oversee billing processes, including insurance claims and patient payments, while maintaining accurate financial records.
- Implement and maintain electronic medical records systems to ensure compliance with regulations and enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop and manage office budgets, tracking expenses and revenues to ensure financial health of the practice.
- Train and mentor staff on office procedures, medical terminology, and best practices in patient care.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Foster a positive workplace culture that encourages teamwork and professional development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a dental or medical office management role is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software or similar dental practice management systems is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records management.
- Experience in budgeting and financial management within a healthcare setting.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Background in human resources practices related to hiring, training, and employee relations is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A background as a nurse or experience in a hospital setting may be beneficial but is not required.
