Job Summary
The Dental Office Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our dental practice. This position requires a strong leader with extensive experience in medical office management, fiscal management, and a thorough understanding of dental office procedures. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient functioning of the office while maintaining high standards of patient care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the dental office, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal patient experience.
- Manage financial aspects including budgeting, billing, and collections to maintain fiscal health.
- Supervise and train staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Utilize EMR and EHR systems effectively for managing patient records and scheduling.
- Implement practice management strategies to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
- Coordinate human resources functions including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and stay updated on industry best practices.
- Manage relationships with vendors and insurance companies to facilitate smooth operations.
- Address patient inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Experience
Candidates should possess:
- Proven experience in dental office management or similar roles within healthcare settings.
- Familiarity with dental software such as AKITU ONE
- Background in fiscal management, including budgeting and financial oversight.
- Experience in supervising staff within a medical or dental environment.
- Knowledge of medical records management, utilization management, and managed care principles.
- Previous experience in acute care or critical care settings is a plus.
