Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling & Hygiene Department Coordination
- Manage and maintain a fully booked hygiene schedule in line with production goals using Dentrix.
- Monitor and adjust for cancellations, no-shows, and emergency appointments to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Coordinate re-care reminders and follow-ups to reactivate overdue patients.
- Track and report on KPIs such as patient retention, productivity, and recall compliance.
Patient Communication
- Proactively schedule and confirm hygiene appointments via phone, email, or text.
- Address patient inquiries and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Educate patients on the importance of routine hygiene care to encourage compliance and oral health.
Administrative Support
- Update and maintain accurate patient records in Dentrix.
- Process billing and confirm correct treatment codes.
- Ensure all documentation complies with RCDSO guidelines and Ontario IPAC protocols.
- Ensure all practices align with RCDSO, Ontario IPAC, and public health guidelines.
- Protect patient confidentiality and promote a positive, team-focused office culture.
Qualifications
- Experience in a dental office, with knowledge of dental terminology and hygiene procedures.
- Proficiency in Dentrix (or comparable software) preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and patient-facing).
- Knowledge of Ontario IPAC guidelines and RCDSO regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.12-$29.30 per hour
