Taskey Dental Care is a well-established, patient focused dental practice located in the heart of downtown Edmonton. We are currently seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.
This role is ideal for a detailed-orientated professional who values a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering the highest standard of patient care.
Schedule:
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including scaling, root planing, taking radiographs, periodontal charting and pre-booking appointments using GOLD dental software.
- Accurately document medical histories, clinical findings, and treatment notes.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and promote the importance of preventive and regular scheduled care.
- Collaborate with dentists and clinical staff to provide coordinated high quality care for all patients, including pediatric, implant, surgical cases and orthodontic cases.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment in compliance with all health and safety protocols.
- Foster a positive patient experience through professionalism, empathy, and effective communication.
Qualifications
- Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Alberta
- Local anesthetic certification is an asset, but not required.
- Proficient in GOLD dental Software and paper recording would be an asset but will train the new team member.
- Previous experience is a dental practice is preferred.
- Familiarity with clear aligner therapy is considered an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
