As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for managing front desk operations, coordinating appointments, verifying insurance, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. You'll support both administrative and clinical teams to maintain efficient daily operations and deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients with professionalism and warmth
-Schedule and confirm appointments, follow up on recalls and treatment plans
- Handle patient inquiries by phone, email and in-person
- Process insurance verifications, pre-authorizations and billing
-Maintain accurate patient records and manage daily tasks
-Collaborate with dental staff to ensure patient flow and satisfaction.
Must be available to work Mon- Thursday 8:00 am -6:00pm . with the possibility of an occasional Friday or Saturday
Must have Canadian Work experience
Job requirements
- 1+ year of experience in a dental or medical administrative role (preferred)
- Strong understanding of dental terminology. procedures and insurance processes
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume setting
- Willingness to adapt, learn quickly and support the team whenever needed.
-Experience handling billing, pre-authorizations, and patient scheduling
-Positive attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure
-Proficiency with dental software (eg able dent , OPES or similar)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
