Dental Receptionist – Full-Time
Downtown Toronto | Modern, Patient-Centred Dental Practice
Full-time Dental Receptionist position in a modern downtown Toronto dental practice. Ideal for an experienced dental receptionist who values clear communication, patient relationships, and working in a professional, well-organized environment. Some evenings and Saturdays are required.
We are a modern, growing dental practice in downtown Toronto, known for delivering exceptional care through advanced technology, thoughtful communication, and strong patient relationships. This is a full-time role and requires availability for some evenings and Saturdays. Candidates who are unable to accommodate this schedule should not apply.
Our patients value clarity, comfort, and feeling genuinely cared for — and the dental receptionist plays a key role in creating that experience. We are seeking an experienced, warm, and organized professional who communicates confidently with patients and contributes positively to the daily flow and success of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and support patients in person, by phone, email, and text with professionalism and warmth
- Manage, schedule, confirm, and optimize daily appointments to ensure efficient patient flow
- Coordinate treatment discussions, answer patient questions, and support treatment follow-up
- Follow up with patients who have pending or unscheduled treatment
- Process insurance claims, pre-determinations, and insurance breakdowns accurately
- Clearly explain insurance coverage and financial arrangements to patients
- Collect payments at the time of treatment (non-assignment office)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in a paperless environment
- Work closely with the clinical and administrative team to support smooth daily operations
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a dental receptionist in Canada
- Strong understanding of dental office workflows, including scheduling, insurance, and treatment coordination
- Familiarity with restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, implants, and Invisalign
- Comfortable using dental practice management software (Tracker experience is an asset)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a calm, friendly, and professional demeanor
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Confident taking initiative, problem-solving, and adapting to new systems and processes
- Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to providing an excellent patient experience
