Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced, dedicated, and highly organized Dental Office Administrator/Treatment Coordinator to join our Front Desk team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice by providing outstanding support to both patients and dental professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of dental procedures, and a commitment to creating a welcoming and efficient environment.
This position offers the opportunity to grow into an Office Manager role for the right candidate.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and answering phone calls.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems, such as Dentrix.
- Assist with billing processes, including insurance verification and processing payments.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Provide support to the dental team during procedures, including handing instruments and managing patient comfort.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Monitor inventory levels of dental supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a hospital or medical office setting when necessary.
Skills
- Strong understanding of Dental terminology related to dentistry.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems
- at least 5 years of experience in a dental office is preferred.
- Knowledge of budgeting principles related to office management is a plus.
- Ability to supervise staff effectively when required.
- Familiarity with acute care settings can enhance patient interaction skills.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and team members effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing patient records and appointments.
