At Shift Accounting, you’ll serve as the bridge between our accounting team and our dental clients, helping translate financial data into meaningful operational insights. You’ll guide clients toward best practices that strengthen their business and help their clinics thrive.
An accounting background isn’t required—what matters is your strong dental operations knowledge, excellent communication skills, and willingness to learn new tools and systems.
What You’ll Be Doing
Client Communication & Support
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned dental clients
- Build trusted relationships through proactive communication and problem-solving
- Help clients understand and act on insights that improve their day-to-day operations
Operational Guidance
- Review reports prepared by the accounting team and identify key operational takeaways
- Advise clients on improving billing, collections, scheduling, and doctor pay processes
- Support payroll accuracy and operational efficiencies
Workflow & Collaboration
- Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure client deliverables stay on track
- Support the rollout of new processes, technologies, and KPI tracking
- Contribute to internal initiatives that enhance team and client performance
Who We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2+ years of dental practice management experience
- 5+ years of experience in the dental industry
- Strong background in collections, accounts receivable, and operational best practices
- Experience with payroll and doctor pay (an asset)
- Tech-savvy and eager to learn new applications
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proactive and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Must currently reside in Calgary or the surrounding area
- Willing to travel to Calgary infrequently for team meetings

Compensation & Benefits
- Contract: 15-month term, with potential to extend into a permanent role
- Vacation: 2 weeks paid vacation + 1 additional paid week during the company’s holiday closure
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM MST
- Work Environment: Primarily remote, with occasional travel to Calgary

Pay: From $72,000.00 per year
