Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental treatment coordinator to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage appointment scheduling, and handle administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with dental office operations to ensure a smooth patient experience. Prior experience with Dentrix and knowledge of dental terminology are highly valued. The Dental Receptionist will contribute to maintaining a welcoming environment while supporting the clinical team in daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Dentrix
- Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records systems
- Verify insurance information and process billing and payments
- Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction
- Assist with billing and financial transactions
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental office setting; experience with Dentrix is preferred
- Familiarity with dental procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Supervising or leadership experience is a plus but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
