We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant Level II with reception experience to join our friendly dental team. Duties
- Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, implant dentistry, oral surgery and pediatric dentistry, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
- Ensure treatment rooms are fully stocked and cleanliness is maintained in all areas at all times.
- Take and document dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform daily/weekly/monthly quality control tests and maintain accurate logs.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including updating medical records and verifying insurance information.
- Record vital signs and medical history accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Provide exceptional front-office support by scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and managing documentation efficiently.
- Maintain proficiency in dental coding and documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems for comprehensive records management.
- Support the dental team with clinical tasks such as taking impressions with 3D scanners, radiographs, assisting with complex procedures, managing infection control protocols and quality control procedures and documentation.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and terminology relevant to dental care.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems for scheduling, billing, and record keeping.
- Strong understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while supporting the dentist during various procedures.
- Experience with X-ray imaging techniques and the operation of 3D scanners for accurate diagnostics.
- Excellent communication skills tailored to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient records and compliance with privacy standards.
- Familiarity with coding practices related to dental procedures for accurate billing and insurance claims processing.
